Servant leadership opportunities have given me the humbling experiences which have taught me the role of responsibility I have to the individuals I am involved with and the community we live in. Through different teaching and coaching aspects, I have directed my attention on not only providing educational and athletic improvement, but assuming the position of a positive role model in the lives of the youth I am proud to interact with. I am appreciative of the positive relationships I have formed over my several years of teaching and coaching. I will continue to lead by setting the right example for those in need of direction. To me, true servant leadership is the willingness to promote positive change within individuals or a community. Through my time at the University of Mary, I have been lucky enough to appreciate the effectiveness of servant leadership and will strive to continue being a positive leader for the community I am apart of.
